This is the law of series for OVHCloud.
The group of Octave Klaba has accumulated setbacks since the beginning of the year.
This Wednesday morning, a blackout affected the operation of its services, not affecting the same number of its customers.
And the customers of its clients as some of them testify.
“
Due to problems encountered by OVH, our newsletters provider does not allow us to send you the news magazine this morning,
” for example, Forum Médias Mobile reported.
The total number of businesses affected is not yet known.
Human error would be at the root of the problem, as explained by Octave Klaba, president and founder of the group.
To remedy this, the group cut the router which had a bad configuration.
The group was in the process of making updates to put in place new measures to deal with a flow of denial of service (DDoS) attacks, a technique that involves multiple requests to block a website.
These may be frequent, but their increase required the implementation of new measures.
Beyond the operational difficulties that such a failure represents, it comes at the worst time.
The group is in the process of launching its IPO.
The first listing of its share in Paris should take place on Friday the 15th in the morning.
For now, the financial calendar should not be affected by the morning failure.

The group has since explained that it has put in place additional protection measures.
