Oberau - 7-year-old Leo Neuner has been dreaming of becoming a firefighter since he was three.
As part of the ANTENNE BAYERN campaign “Once in a lifetime ...”, Leo's dad reports with the fervent wish of his son to help out with the professional fire brigade for a day.
ANTENNE BAYERN made his wish come true.
Little Leo is already a firefighter at heart.
His children's room is filled with fire fighting toys from Playmobil.
A fire engine is his pride and joy.
At the age of seven, he has been a member of the children's fire brigade in Oberau for almost two years and takes part in the monthly exercises.
His desire to work for the fire brigade came up at the tender age of three.
On the one hand, this is characterized by the fact that his father is a commandant in Oberau.
On the other hand, he recently discovered Wache 1 in Munich.
He wanted to stay here until a vehicle sets out for an operation.
It is his greatest dream to be there one day, to sit in a fire truck and to be a firefighter for a few hours.
When asked why he likes the fire brigade so much, Leo doesn't hesitate: “Because you do save people. Sometimes you do save animals. So I think that's really great. And I also think extinguishing a fire is great, because otherwise all the houses will burn down, ”said the 7-year-old in an interview with morning presenter Wolfgang Leikermoser.
As part of the ANTENNE BAYERN campaign “Once in a lifetime ...”, Wolfgang Leikermoser fulfilled his greatest wish in the program “Guten Morgen Bayern”.
Leo is surprised at his school because a fire fighting vehicle 20 is waiting in front of the school. Leo can hardly believe his luck: He is allowed to ride with the Augsburg fire brigade for one day.
From the operations center to the fire brigade's sports rooms to the diving team's training pool - he can experience everything up close.
Leo can explore all vehicles down to the smallest detail.
His highlight of the day: ride the large turntable ladder to a height of 30 meters.
“My dream is to go up the turntable ladder, because it's so high and so.
Then you have a very good view, ”says Leo on ANTENNE BAYERN.
