Hamburg - "The port concerns us all," said Senator for Economic Affairs Michael Westhagemann.

"I am therefore very pleased that we are also including citizens in the process for the first time in the course of the current port development planning."

Plan 2022 is to be decided by the Senate. According to the intention of the Senate, the port is to be climate-neutral and environmentally friendly in 2040 and also to become the center of the hydrogen economy at least for Northern Germany.
