A 71-year-old woman fell for con artists in Wesel.
The police announced on Wednesday that there was a high loss.
On Sunday, the woman received a call from a man posing as a police officer.
For several hours, the fraudster would have asked the woman to put an envelope with cash and her bank card and the corresponding pin in front of the front door.
