About two weeks after a 38-year-old Azeri man was arrested in Cyprus on suspicion of plotting to assassinate several people, including Israeli businessmen, local police arrested a 27-year-old Pakistani food courier in Paphos today (Wednesday) on suspicion of trying to help him.
Local police confiscated three cell phones from the home of the young man, who lives in the coastal town.
Last week, the court in Nicosia extended the detention of the Azeri man, whom Israel claimed was recruited by Iran with the aim of assassinating Israeli businessmen living on the island.
