The German Federation of Trade Unions sees a possible state government of the SPD and the Left in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania as an opportunity for politics to be made in the interests of the employees.
"The next state government must rapidly advance the economic, social and ecological change in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania," said the vice-chairman of the DGB North, Ingo Schlueter, on Wednesday evening.
Schwerin - Previously, the SPD state chairman and Prime Minister Manuela Schwesig announced the decision to start coalition negotiations with the left.
The policy of the new state government must be geared to the interests of the employees, said Schlueter.
“A lot is possible in the coalition with the SPD and the Left, which is now likely.” The DGB expects a “pro-negotiated wage” policy.
Coping with the consequences of the corona should not be financed on the back of small incomes.
