In the dispute over rescue costs for a crashed hang-glider, plaintiffs and the city of Porta Westfalica have reached a settlement.
The sports pilot only has to pay part of the originally calculated costs with 2750 euros, as a spokeswoman for the administrative court of Minden in North Rhine-Westphalia announced on Wednesday.
The city can withdraw from the settlement within a week (ref.
Minden -: 3 K 3677/19).
During the hearing it became clear that the city had insufficiently justified individual items on the bill with 4150 euros for the rescue.
Originally the sum was even higher.
The city had already reduced the demand before the trial.

He had resisted the calculation of costs, since he could not see any reason.
The city had to admit that the use of a fire truck with a crew of six emergency services would probably not have been necessary.
The pilot had not denied that he, as the operator of an aircraft, is obliged to pay rescue costs according to the NRW Fire Brigade Act.
