A drunk man bit a policeman in the leg in Hanau.
The 44-year-old had previously approached a patrol on Tuesday afternoon and insulted the officers, the police headquarters in Southeast Hesse announced on Wednesday.
When the police tried to check him, he threw a coffee mug at the officers and insulted them again.
Hanau - When the man was subsequently arrested, the police used pepper spray and “simple physical violence”.
The 44-year-old is said to have resisted and bitten an officer in the wrist and thigh.
The police officer was still fit for duty after receiving care in the emergency room, it said.
The attacker is investigated, among other things, on suspicion of resistance to law enforcement officers.
