The investigation, carried out for two years throughout the country by the Paris research section and the Essonne gendarmerie group, uncovered a network of around thirty women who were “
exploited
” and “
forced

Among the 22 people taken into custody, three women in their forties, identified as being the "
heads of the network
", were placed in pre-trial detention, as part of the judicial investigation opened in Évry (Essonne) for “
aggravated procuring committed in an organized gang and money laundering
”. According to the gendarmerie, each had a specific role: "
management of advertisements, rental of apartments, security and recruitment of girls, money laundering or commercial comments on social networks
".
Eight other people were indicted and placed under judicial supervision "
because of their involvement in the logistics of organizing the network
".
In addition, six people, considered as "
owners who, by knowingly renting out their property, provided essential logistics for the network
" were indicted and placed under judicial supervision.
The two police operations, carried out in March and October, led to the seizure of cash, vehicles and real estate worth 2.2 million euros.
