The Red Cross set up the Bruck vaccination center in times of the disaster and has operated it so far.

After a Europe-wide tender, the BRK is now out: A new operator is taking over.

Fürstenfeldbruck - The continued operation of the Fürstenfeldbruck vaccination center under new, significantly smaller framework conditions was put out to tender across Europe.

Now the result is certain.

The vaccination center is expected to have a new operator from October 24th - after 150,000 vaccinations.

The BRK would like to thank the citizens who have said so positively about the vaccination center.

As part of the realignment of the Bavarian vaccination strategy, vaccination offers by resident doctors and company doctors were given priority over vaccination in the vaccination center, reports the district office.

This modified vaccination strategy provides for a move away from inpatient vaccinations to vaccinations by doctors and via mobile teams.

Fürstenfeldbruck vaccination center: capacity is significantly reduced

The capacity of the vaccination center will initially be reduced to 200 vaccinations in mobile teams and around 100 vaccinations per day as part of a weekly vaccination consultation in the stationary vaccination center. Under these significantly changed framework conditions, the operation of the vaccination center was put out to tender. “We didn't get a chance here”, regrets Rainer Bertram, district manager of the BRK. “The vaccination centers were necessary in order to be able to vaccinate the initially scarce, sensitive vaccine as quickly as possible. There is now enough vaccine available so that anyone who wants can get vaccinated by their general practitioners. The vaccination centers are simply no longer necessary in the old order, ”says Rainer Bertram. "We would like to thank everyone who worked with great commitment in the vaccination center,Employees, especially in the medical management, who all together played an outstanding role in fighting the pandemic in the Fürstenfeldbruck district, and for the extraordinarily good cooperation with the BRK in the past few months, ”says District Administrator Thomas Karmasin.

Fürstenfeldbruck vaccination center: craftsmen helped to prepare it

“Not to be forgotten are the numerous craftsmen who helped us in December of last year to convert a building that had been approved for demolition into a vaccination center within five days, according to Bertram. Particularly noteworthy is the active support from the volunteer comrades in setting up the vaccination center and in practicing the necessary processes. “But we would also like to thank the employees of the Fürstenfeldbruck District Office, with whom we were able to work extremely well at any time. And finally, we would like to thank the many vaccinated people who supported us with hundreds of positive comments and thus motivated us very much, ”says Rainer Bertram. "But we also don't want to denythat this project was a very labor-intensive and time-consuming undertaking, which has shown us once again what the Red Cross is capable of in the event of a disaster. We put up to 1000 and a total of almost 150,000 syringes every day. At the top, up to 130 employees who were employed in the vaccination center contributed to fighting the pandemic. That makes us very proud, ”says Rainer Bertram.says Rainer Bertram.says Rainer Bertram.
