After losing their parliamentary group status, the remaining four FDP members in the Thuringian state parliament have to reckon with significant financial losses as a group. Left, SPD, Greens and CDU agreed to cut the basic amount of around 48,000 euros by half, as the parliamentary manager of the Greens parliamentary group and vice-president of the state parliament, Madeleine Henfling, said on Wednesday.

Erfurt - The "Thüringer Allgemeine" had previously reported on the agreement.

The state parliament has yet to approve the amendment to the law on representatives.

The FDP group can therefore also only count on half of the opposition subsidy, which is linked to the basic amount.

In addition, the group's spokesman, former short-term prime minister Thomas Kemmerich, should not get a company car.

When he was still leader of the parliamentary group, a car with a driver was available to him.

His grants should drop from 100 percent as a parliamentary group leader to 28 percent as a group speaker.

This corresponds to the previous grants for the parliamentary managing directors.
