Fire in homeless shelter: City seeks alternative solution

After the fire in an emergency shelter for the homeless in Bad Freienwalde (Märkisch-Oderland), the city is looking for a replacement solution for accommodation.

One is in talks with the municipal housing cooperative, among others, said Mayor Ralf Lehmann on Wednesday when asked.

Bad Freienwalde - On Monday, a fire broke out on the third floor of an apartment building in Eberswalder Straße, which was used as accommodation for the homeless, for reasons that are still unknown.

Eight residents were brought to safety by the fire brigade.
