The expansion of flood protection is important to the citizens of Fürholzen.
That's why they checked with the citizens' meeting to see what happened to the project.

The corona pandemic made it necessary again this year that you had to meet, rather uncomfortably and at a distance, in the Käthe-Winkelmann-Halle for the citizens' meeting.
There the innovations in Fürholzen were discussed and a new local spokesman was elected.

Rainer Bachmeier is the new local spokesman for Fürholzen
Parts of the municipality without their own council member are entitled to such a local spokesman, and in Fürholzen that was Monika Holzer so far.
However, she announced at the 2019 citizens' meeting that she would no longer be available for office after the 2020 local elections.
With the corona-related delay, her successor has now been elected.
The new spokesman for the Fürholzener is now Rainer Bachmeier.
He was elected unanimously and actually didn't have to introduce himself.
Bachmaier is active in the local clubs and also in the Narrhalla Eching-Neufahrn.
Now he officially got a new job.

After the election, Mayor Franz Heilmeier submitted his report and proudly reported on the major changes.
The community house, including the planning costs and personal contributions by Fürholzen citizens, cost 1.25 million euros.
In addition, there was another 650,000 euros for the civil engineering work.
In the assembly, the citizens of Fürholzen had one or the other wish for minor corrections and retrofits in the building.
Playground behind the community building is an attraction
The second major measure of the Neufahrn community was the renovation of the fire station with the construction of a drinking fountain and the renewal of the forecourt including the bus stop.
An additional attraction in the center of the village is the new playground behind the community center, created by the municipal building yard.

When asked about the public, the Fürholzener recalled the discussion about expanding flood protection.
Two years ago it was suggested that retrofitting could be carried out through a program run by the Office for Rural Development.
At the time, it was said that construction work could start at the end of 2021 or 2022.
Mayor Franz Heilmeier agreed that he would inquire about the current state of affairs internally in the town hall and with the rural development office responsible for the measure and then report.
