The volunteers also rescued hikers who had come into the dark.

Lenggries - Many hikers were drawn to the mountains in the Isarwinkel at the weekend.

There was glorious sunshine there, while the high fog persisted in the valley.

It only dissolved from a height of about 1200 meters.

Hikers from Munich and Leipzig are stuck on the Geierstein in the dark

On Saturday it was very quiet for the Lenggries mountain rescue team until the evening hours. "At 9:16 p.m. we were alerted after work: two hikers from Munich and Leipzig had come into the darkness while descending from Geierstein, lost their orientation and had to rely on the help of the Lenggries mountain rescue service," reports mountain rescue spokeswoman Lina Feile. Four volunteer mountain rescuers set out and brought the hikers safely into the valley. The mission ended at around 10.30 p.m.

In this context, the mountain rescue service points out that the days are getting significantly shorter again and that the temperatures on the mountain are around freezing point at night.

“Please remember to wear warm clothes and an electric light source when you go hiking.

The lamp on a cell phone does not replace a headlamp - the cell phone battery should be saved in emergencies, ”advises the mountain rescue service.

Three year old child has a seizure in a hut

In the early morning hours of Sunday, the help of the mountain rescue service was needed again: A three-year-old child suffered an acute croup in a hut in the Brauneck area.

"The on-duty colleagues from the mountain rescue service at Latschenkopf looked after the child and transported it together with the mother to the handover point to the land rescue service," says Feile.

Child falls over grass slope and suffers head injury

On Sunday morning, the mountain rescue team went to a fallen three-year-old child at the Lenggrieser hut on the Seekar.

The child fell several meters over a grass slope.

It got a head laceration.

After a short medical treatment, the family was transported to the valley.

The land rescue service took over there.

Around noon, the control center alerted the mountain rescuers again.

A woman collapsed on the Brauneck Panorama hiking trail in the immediate vicinity of the mountain station.

“A team from the mountain rescue team on the Latschenkopf was there quickly and diagnosed the suspected stroke,” said Feile.

After receiving medical treatment, the patient was also transported to the valley.

The BRK ambulance service took care of the woman there.
