Moscow-Sana
Today, the Director of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, Sergei Naryshkin, warned of the seriousness of the terrorist threat emanating from Afghanistan.
"The situation in Afghanistan remains dangerous," TASS news agency quoted Naryshkin as telling reporters, "and the terrorist threat after the Taliban movement, which is internationally classified as a terrorist organization, took control of the entire territory of the country has not ended, but has worsened," adding, "The intelligence services and the military are taking precautionary steps to confront a range of threats."
Naryshkin considered that the Afghan crisis and the US withdrawal from Afghanistan put an end to a historically short period of a unipolar world, describing it as a "good thing".
