New Coronary Pneumonia | Three imported cases and two variants of the virus, no local cases in five days

There were 3 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong today (13th), all of which were imported cases, and two of them carried the L452R variant virus.

There were no local cases in Hong Kong for 5 consecutive days.

All three patients were asymptomatic, and two of them were foreign domestic helpers who had completed the Kexingxin crown vaccine.

The other person arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan. He was previously listed as a close contact of the confirmed person and was sent to the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center for quarantine and then diagnosed.

As for the initial confirmed cases today, there are less than 5 cases.

The new cases are all imported cases. A 28-year-old maid from Indonesia (case number: 12279 case) arrived in Hong Kong by flight CX798 on October 9 and was admitted to Penny's Bay on the 3rd day of quarantine. The sample was diagnosed and showed no symptoms and had a variant virus. The test result is to be determined.

She received two doses of Koxing vaccine in Indonesia on June 26 and July 24.

Another 34-year-old woman (Case No.: 12280), who is also a foreign domestic helper, came from the Philippines on October 3 and arrived in Hong Kong by flight CX906. The sample on the 9th day of quarantine was confirmed to have the L452R variant virus and was asymptomatic.

She received two doses of Coxing vaccine in the Philippines on June 16 and July 14.

The third case was a 30-year-old man (case number: 12281). He arrived in Hong Kong from Pakistan on flight EK384 on October 3 and was quarantined at the Silka Far East Hotel in Tsuen Wan.

His companion was diagnosed earlier (No. 12260), so he was listed as a close contact and was sent to the Penny's Bay Quarantine Center. The sample was confirmed positive yesterday.

He has the L452R variant virus and has no symptoms. On June 8th, he was vaccinated with a dose of Kweisha new crown vaccine in Pakistan. The vaccination was completed with only one dose. It was researched by Kansino Biological Co., Ltd. and the PLA Military Academy of Military Medicine. Research and development of the Institute of Biological Engineering.
