The Pliening youth room was closed for a good four years, now it is open again.

For a new start, many young people came to the already well-equipped room.

Pliening - A good 25 young people, most of them between the ages of 15 and 16, came to the reopening of the Pliening youth room (name: "PiJayAr").

In the past weeks and months, the new board of the youth development association had been working towards the new start, which has now succeeded with full success.

"The young people felt at home right away, they played table tennis and sat at the bar," reports Tina Lucka, 1st chairwoman of the friends' association.

The 2nd chairman, René Buchmann, is also enthusiastic about the response to the first evening and draws the conclusion: "It was time for the youth room to reopen."

Pliening: Supervisors wanted

So that this can happen regularly, the Friends' Association is still looking for volunteer supervisors (minimum age: 18 years) to take over supervision in the youth room.

Interested parties contact the board of directors.

Only then can the room be opened the way the young people would like it: Friday and Saturday evenings.

The next opening date is Friday, October 22nd;

from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for 12 to 15 year olds, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. for young people aged 15 and over.

In order to support campaigns and the operation of the youth room, there is the development association.

If you want to become a member, you can also contact Tina Lucka and René Buchmann (email addresses at the end of the article).

The youth room has been closed since 2017 due to a lack of demand.

In the past few months there has been an increasing desire from young people to revive the offer.

The development association has now done that.

For a new start, the board was able to receive two donations.

On the one hand from the Pliening tennis club, which donated the proceeds of a raffle that it held at the club's summer festival: 600 euros.

The prizes were donated by Stefan Graf, co-owner of the new Pliening e-bike center, reports René Buchmann.

The winners of the raffle were Brigitte Datzer, Noomi Roßberg and Collin Davis.

Pliening's mayor spontaneously adds 400 euros

When the check was handed over, there was another, in this case spontaneous, donation, according to Buchmann: Pliening's mayor Roland Frick has announced that he will add 400 euros, so that the total of 1000 euros will come about.

“At the request of the young people, the money will be used for a new TV screen and a Wii,” announced René Buchmann.

And: In the coming weeks, the youth room in the basement of the community center (entrance on the back) is to be further embellished and equipped.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Ebersberg newsletter.
