The handball Bundesliga has honored HSV Hamburg for its youth work.
The club received the youth certificate with a star.
The award honors the five years of work the club has been doing since the new start in the 3rd division in 2016.
Important points for the award ceremony were the close cooperation with the Hamburg handball association, with the elite school of sports and the Olympic base as well as the cooperation with third division HG Hamburg-Barmbek.

Hatz confirmed as metal employer president
The Bavarian metal and electrical employers' associations have elected their President Wolfram Hatz for a further two years.
This was announced by the Association of Bavarian Business (vbw) on Thursday in Munich.
The 60-year-old engine manufacturer from Ruhstorf an der Rott has been President of vbw and the metal and electrical employers' associations bayme and vbm since 2019.

The sports patron has given the club "significant support every season and provided the foundation on which the HSVH's youth work could continue to develop," said the announcement from the Hamburg Bundesliga club.
"Without him our development would certainly not have been possible in this form," said Evermann.
Otto was impressed by how down-to-earth HSV Hamburg had worked on his comeback.
“The award radiates youth handball across the entire metropolitan region,” said Otto.
The certificate has been awarded to professional clubs since 2008, which offer good general conditions for young handball players in their performance centers.
