Memmingen - In the course of the "Integrated Urban Development Concept" (ISEK Memmingen 2030) and the subsequent Steinheim preparatory investigation, the green corridor along the Memminger Ach between Amendingen and Steinheim was recognized as a particularly high-quality natural and recreational area as well as agriculturally used space that it should strengthen and is to be developed.
In the course of the preparatory study in Steinheim, a written survey of all households found that two thirds of the residents of Steinheim use this green corridor in their free time. Around 70 percent would like to stay here more often and longer if there was a corresponding offer.
The Memmingen office LARS consult was commissioned by the city of Memmingen to carry out a preparatory study for the inclusion of the green corridor along the Memminger Ach between Amendingen and Steinheim in the Steinheim redevelopment area.
The focus of the processing is the planned link between agriculture, ecology and local recreation.
The concept is to be developed in three stages, with the results of the analysis phase flowing into a framework plan, which will be concretized in the further elaboration on the basis of a concept of measures.
Citizens' ideas asked
In order to incorporate the suggestions and ideas of the citizens into the planning, the city of Memmingen and LARS consult would like to invite them to a citizens' forum on Saturday, October 16, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The event takes place at the Memminger Ach.
A total of four stations, which deal with topics such as village community, sport and health, games and learning as well as cultural space and water experience, are set up at four different points of view.
During the event, the necessary minimum distance of 1.5 meters must be observed.
