But tonight there may be the first snowfalls in the lower mountains. The snow line drops to up to 800 meters. Above 1000 meters, there is even ten to 20 centimeters of fresh snow in it, says Jung. Even in the high areas in the Bavarian Forest and the Ore Mountains, the landscape could be a little sugar-coated. This is mainly due to the cold polar air that is pushed to Bavaria until Thursday.

From Würzburg to Berchtesgaden the gray clouds bite and open their locks every now and then.

He says that many weather models predict a cold to cold first month of winter.

According to the weather expert, the last really frosty December was in 2010. The weather models still do not agree on whether it will be enough for that.
