A Schwabener market had regularly sold marijuana.

For this he had stored large amounts of grass with him.

Now the Ebersberg district court has issued a verdict.

Ebersberg - A Schwabener market had regularly sold marijuana at the beginning of the year.

For this he had a large amount of the intoxicant stored with him.

Now the 30-year-old found himself in front of the Ebersberg district court.

The police had observed the defendant in January as he was selling weed to two different people on one day in Markt Schwaben, each worth around 20 euros.

A month later, a civil servant told the court, she checked the man at Markt Schwabener Friedhof because of the smell of marijuana.

He admitted to the officer that he owned the joint that was lying on the floor nearby.

He also confessed himself that he still had a fair amount of the drug in his home.

The officers then ransacked the man's home.

There they found just over 100 grams of marijuana and over 900 euros in the kitchen cupboard.

"With so much cash, I no longer assumed I would use it myself," the policewoman told the court.

Illegal marijuana trafficking: Defendant used drugs for sleeping problems

The defendant stated at the hearing that as a machine operator he was struggling with sleep problems because of shift work.

He has been mastering this for several years through daily grass consumption.

In January his dealer offered to sell him more than usual for a lower price.

So he came to the unusual large crowd.

He himself only acted with it in small portions and only with friends.

The February inspection also found traces of cocaine and amphetamine in the defendant's blood and hair samples.

However, that was a one-off consumption on vacation: "Once and never again," he assured judge Markus Nikol.

Since the man already had several previous convictions, including relevant ones, the lay judge sentenced him to a prison term of 20 months.

Marijuana sold and owned: Markt Schwabener gets away with suspended sentence

Because the defendant confessed to everything, had brought the police to himself and had already started drug therapy himself, the court suspended the sentence to three years.

As a condition, he has to pay 2000 euros in installments to the Caritas addiction counseling in Grafing and permanently prove that he is clean.

In addition, he must not interrupt the therapy that has already started.
