The Fischtown Pinguins from Bremerhaven just missed the playoffs of the Champions Hockey League.
At the premiere in the European Ice Hockey Cup on Tuesday, the Seestädter lost the final group game against the Czech top club Sparta Prague with 1: 3 (0: 0, 0: 1, 1: 2) and ended Group A with nine points behind Prague (13) and the Swedish club Växjö Lakers (10) in third place.
Bremerhaven - The two best teams continue to play in the knockout round.
Bremerhaven's Mitch Wahl (50th minute) made it 1: 2 in the meantime.
