There was a police operation in front of an occupied house in Weimar on Wednesday evening.
The city reported the unlawful access of a group to the vacant building in the afternoon, the police said.
A police spokesman said that the Weimar home had also filed charges of trespassing as the house owner.
Emergency services are currently on site to “get an overview” and to accompany a spontaneously registered solidarity rally.
Weimar - Around 50 people are involved in this, but they are “peacefully” campaigning for social and affordable housing.
It is still unclear whether the police will go into the house at a later date.
The building is on the edge of the city center.
