It is now more in demand than apartments.

The house emerges as a big winner from the upheaval in the post-Covid real estate market.

This trend, which began with the first confinement, is confirmed at the end of the year 2021. “A dynamism which is reflected in the evolution of prices since houses have increased by 6% in one year in France against 3.4% for apartments ”, analyzes Thomas Lefebvre, scientific director of our partner Best Agents.

And if this is true in all regions, it is even more marked in Île-de-France.

The Ile-de-France residents have never wanted to live in a house so much, all real estate ad sites confirm this.

But having a corner of greenery, being able to have an additional room, requires moving away from the big cities and in particular from the capital.

The disenchantment with Paris is growing.

Families continue to leave the City of Lights, trying as best they can to sell their “big” apartments.

They take the direction of the great crown and even of the very large crown.

We have selected attractive cities, less than 1h30 from Paris

The anchoring of teleworking opens up other horizons and makes it possible to find a house located an hour, or even an hour and a half from the capital by train. Beauvais, Chartres, Évreux or Poitiers are among the favorites of buyers. What they are looking at is the price / surface ratio, which is much more favorable in these medium-sized cities. Same phenomenon in the departments of Yvelines, Val-d'Oise, Essonne or Seine-et-Marne. On the other hand, it becomes much more complicated to find a pavilion in the near Parisian suburbs as the offer becomes scarce. This will require a larger budget, especially to settle in the Hauts-de-Seine.

In our real estate supplement, we have selected attractive cities, less than 1.5 hours from Paris, where it is still possible to buy a house.

For a budget of 400,000 euros, Meilleur Agents calculated the real estate purchasing power on the price per square meter.

What to start planning.
