Referendum wants to recall the Bavarian state parliament

The registration period for the referendum to recall the Bavarian State Parliament begins on Thursday, October 14th and ends on Wednesday, October 27th.

During this time, all municipalities in Bavaria must have entry lists ready for entering the signing declarations.

Where and at what times citizens in their respective communities can register for the referendum, they can find out at the municipal administrations or in the town halls.


For example, the VG Babenhausen informs that citizens can register in the offices of the administrative community, Marktplatz 1, Babenhausen, at the following times: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday to Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Thursday, October 14th, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday, October 17, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.


The city of Memmingen forms a registration district. The petition for a referendum can be entered in the barrier-free entry room in the town hall, Marktplatz 1, ground floor, Memmingen. The following opening times apply for the entry area during the registration period: Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. In the clinic, old people's (residential) and nursing homes and the penal institution, special registration rooms are set up if necessary. The administrative community Bad Grönenbach informs that an entry for the referendum is only possible in the administrative community Bad Grönenbach, not in the town halls of Wolfertschwenden and Woringen. Each person entitled to vote can only register in one entry room of the district where he / she is listed in the electoral roll. Those entitled to vote must bring their identity card or passport with them for entry. Those entitled to vote who have a registration slip can register in the registration list of any registration room in Bavaria by presenting their identity card or passport. Each person entitled to vote can only exercise his / her right to vote once and only personally. Representation is not permitted; there is no possibility of declaring the entry in writing. The entry cannot be withdrawn.


In the case of a conventional referendum, the signatures of at least ten percent of the citizens entitled to vote are required, in the case of the dissolution of the Bavarian State Parliament, which is sought in this case, at least one million votes are required.

Should it actually come to the dissolution of parliament, new elections could take place.
