Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources Bassam Tohme discussed with Russian Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy.
During their meeting on the sidelines of the International Forum of the Russian Energy Week in Moscow today, the two sides stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries and the exchange of experiences in all energy sectors, with a focus on the use of renewable energy resources during the next stage.
The meeting was attended by the delegation accompanying the Minister of Oil and Mineral Resources and the Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Riad Haddad.
The forum began this morning with the participation of Syria in the Mange Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow and will continue for one day.
The main objective of the forum is to explore the possibilities of international cooperation in the energy sector, as its organizers hope that it will become a platform for discussing the main challenges and difficulties facing the development of this sector in its various branches, including gas, oil, coal and petrochemicals, in addition to electric and nuclear energy, renewable energy resources, energy rationing and improving its efficiency in general. .
