- Actor William Shatner, Captain Kirk of "Star Trek", could not hide his excitement after traveling into space on Jeff Bezos' company Blue Origin, and assured that the experience "is deeper "than I could imagine.

Upon reaching Earth, he spoke for several minutes with Jeff Bezos and excitedly described the journey he had just completed.

"I am so full of emotion for what just happened. It is extraordinary, extraordinary. I hope I can keep what I feel now. I don't want to lose it. It is much bigger than me and life."

Shatner, who became the oldest person to travel to space at the age of 90, was on the verge of tears while speaking to Bezos after returning to Earth.

"Everyone in this world needs to do this"

Shatner received flight wings from Blue Origin founder Jeff Bezos, along with the other three passengers.

The wings are from Blue Origin and are not official wings of the Federal Aviation Administration's Commercial Astronaut Wings Program.

In July, Bezos went to the edge of space with the first manned mission of Blue Origin's New Shepard suborbital space tourism rocket.

"Seeing the blue color around you, and then suddenly looking into the dark, that's what happens"

Shatner called the sky a "blue quilt we have around us."

It was Jeff Bezos himself who opened the capsule to welcome Shatner and the other crewmembers to Earth, Chris Boshuizen, co-founder of the satellite company Planet Labs;

Medidata co-founder Glen de Vries;

and Audrey Powers, Vice President of Flight and Mission Operations for Blue Origin.

"You look down, there is blue down there and black up there ... there is Mother Earth and comfort, and there is, is there death? I don't know, but is it death? Is that what death is like? .. It was so moving; this experience was something incredible "

Shatner took off aboard a New Shepard spacecraft, developed by Bezos's company and the same vehicle that took Bezos himself into space this summer, just before 10:50 a.m. ET from the Blue Origin launch site in West Texas.

The journey took just 10 minutes from takeoff to landing.

The crew experienced approximately three minutes of weightlessness at the top of their flight path before their capsule deployed parachutes to slow its descent and landed near its launch site in Texas.

"What you have given me is the most profound experience I can imagine"

Shatner told Bezos after the historic trip.

The two men shook hands and embraced.
