The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Suwayda announced the start of selling sterilized and sifted wheat seeds of Sham 3 and Douma 1 varieties to meet the needs of the agricultural plan for the season 2021-2022.
The director of the branch, Eng. Wael Al-Taweel, explained in a statement to SANA reporter today that sales are carried out through the warehouses of the Foundation’s branch and through agricultural banks in the cities of Shahba, Salkhad and the town of Al-Quraya, at a price of 1585 Syrian pounds per kilo.
Al-Taweel pointed out that farmers wishing to purchase seeds must bring the agricultural organization document issued by the extension units and a copy of the personal card, knowing that the sale is made either in cash or under loans from the Agricultural Bank.
The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication in Sweida began last month by sifting and sterilizing wheat seed to secure the needs of the agricultural plan.
