Hama-Sana
The Fida gin in Hama received the first batch of the beloved cottons from the farmers of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa governorates for the current agricultural season.
The director of the gin, Osama Kayal, said in a statement to the SANA Economic Bulletin that the gin received 120 tons of cotton from Deir ez-Zor and 44 tons from Raqqa, indicating that the gin was allocated to receive the beloved cotton and produce agricultural seeds from them and supply them to the Foundation for Seed Multiplication.
Kayal pointed out that the incoming quantities of the granulated cotton are currently being collected in places designated for them, provided that the ginning operations begin when sufficient quantities arrive to operate the ginning machines, indicating that the gin has recently completed a comprehensive maintenance of the ten ginning machines.
It is noteworthy that the Al-Fida gin was suspended from work during the last season due to the lack of large quantities of cotton, while the quantities received in the season before last amounted to about 18 thousand tons from the farmers of the eastern governorates.
