Over the years, the state has neglected the treatment of the crime problem in the Negev and allowed the lack of governance.

The vast majority of Negev residents, Jews and non-Jews, want to live here in the Negev together, quietly and safely.

But a group of people, who have grown over the years due to the helplessness and lack of care of the state, are challenging our aspiration and desire.

A sovereign state that loses deterrence and governance leads to anarchy.

Despite the good intentions of our residents, who want to volunteer and help - there is no substitute for a strong police force.

Over the years the police have not received the standards it needs, nor have it recruited new people as it should.

Responsibility also applies to the State Attorney's Office and the courts.

No deterrence, no strong punishment.

The demand from the state and the government is clear: to act immediately to restore governance in the Negev, to act resolutely to eradicate crime and to maintain public order. The government needs to put the GSS on the mission, and significantly strengthen the police. Thousands of missing devices must be added, new police officers must be recruited, police stations and stations must be set up in all Negev localities, digital and innovative means of fighting crime must be budgeted. The police know how to work. and the means to carry out the task.

even the judiciary must enlist for this mission. the state should legislate minimum sentences that would give the prosecution and the courts the tools to stricter penalties.

state afraid to date to deal with the regularization of Bedouin settlement in the Negev. obligation to operate on that level.

It's time to make decisions and act fooling: Governance, eradication of crime and the series We will not let go of the government until we restore security to the residents of the Negev!

We, too, as a local authority, work with the tools at our disposal and the authority we have to increase personal security: the municipal police and the supervisory, security and emergency departments are partners in strengthening and deploying the presence on the ground.

We are adding more cameras around the city and working to recruit volunteers for the "Neighborhood Watch" project.

Volunteers together with the municipal police officers conduct tours of the neighborhoods to increase the sense of security.

The development of the city of Be'er Sheva necessitates the expansion and increase of the security and police response.

Together with the police, we are currently leading the redeployment of new substations and police stations throughout the city.

The government, the local authorities, the police, the prosecutor's office, the courts, we all need to cooperate and act quickly and resolutely.

Determined actions and deeds that will lead to a new reality.

This is our Negev, this is our country.
