Regensburg - From Friday (October 15) to Sunday (October 17) the MišMaš KulturKreativTage will bring part of the ZWICKL documentary film festival to the cinemas in Andreasstadel (Andreasstraße 28).

The city of Regensburg * announced this in a press release.

Under the motto "Home and Travel", the Schwandorf Documentary Film Days are on the move and present films in the rural regions of the Upper Palatinate.

Regensburg: Full program on Friday 

In Regensburg, four films from the “Czech Film Window” and four from the “Bavarian Documentary Award ZETT” competition are on the program.

Part of the “Czech film window” is provided with German or Czech subtitles. 

On Friday the festival starts at 5.30 p.m. with the short film program “About nature and people”.

In “The Last First Tank” by Ferdinand Hauser and Conrad Winkler and “Rybak” by Kryštof Zvolánek, the life of tank attendants and climate change are dealt with.

This is followed by “In the Name of Scheherazade or the first beer garden in Tehran” by Narges Kalhor at 7.30 pm.

Among other things, the film focuses on the effects of multiculturalism.

Discussions with the director are planned after the film has been screened. 

Regensburg: Virtual discussions with the directors possible

On Saturday at 4.30 p.m. “Generation N” continues.

The film deals with the lives of Germans in Northern Bohemia after the end of the war in 1945. Interested parties can talk to filmmaker Veronika Kupková via online talk.

The short films “About Women and Men”, “Chlupy” by Josefina Lubojacki, “Setkani / Libussa Unbound” by Taťána Marková and “schichteln ”by Verena Wagner will follow at 7:30 pm.

The last show “Walchensee forever” by Janna Ji Wonders will be shown at 10 pm.

In it, she takes the audience on a journey into her past.

Sunday starts at 2.30 p.m. with “Rules on the line at high speed” by Yulia Lokshina.

At 5 pm, “Roots of Survival” by Bertram Verhaag will follow.

The evening will end at 8 pm with “Reunion with Brundibar” by Douglas Wolfsperger.

For the last two films, too, viewers can have virtual conversations with the directors. 

Regensburg: Tickets are free 

The films are shown in German or, in the case of the Czech films, with the original sound and German subtitles.
