158 new corona infections in one day

Rostock - According to the State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus), the number of hospital admissions and the utilization of intensive care units with Covid patients are still low everywhere. The Lagus reported 158 confirmed new infections on Thursday after 203 on Wednesday and 225 on Tuesday. On Thursday last week there were 173 new Covid cases. The incidence, which describes the number of confirmed new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days, fell slightly to 55.5 compared to the previous day; a week ago it was 48.8.

There are 47 Covid patients in the country's clinics, two fewer than the day before.

Of them, 17 are being treated in the intensive care unit, one more than on Wednesday.

No person died related to corona infection, so the total death toll since the pandemic began remained at 1,211.
