Five weeks after an abandoned baby was discovered in Schwäbisch Hall, its mother was arrested on Wednesday.
As the public prosecutor and police announced afterwards, the 21-year-old woman had reported to the police in Schwäbisch Hall the day before.
She admitted that she abandoned the boy.
Until then, it was unclear who the baby's mother was, said a police spokesman.
