Approval of the implementation of e-services projects included in the digital transformation strategy

The Higher Committee for Digital Transformation agreed, during its meeting today, headed by Prime Minister Hussein Arnous, to implement the electronic services projects included in the digital transformation strategy for the next year, and identified the priorities of these projects, which would contribute to the expansion of the electronic services department in the ministries that deal with citizens' issues.

The committee adopted the criteria for evaluating projects, and ministries were asked to coordinate with the Ministry of Communications and Technology to submit studies for each ministry’s work in the field of digital transformation, in addition to coordination in the field of infrastructure projects (data centers and servers), correspondence applications, e-mail, and enterprise resource management systems.

Engineer Arnous stressed the importance of working with a scientific methodology and a well-thought-out and balanced approach to implement the strategy in accordance with the time schedules set for each project, focusing on specific projects in a number of ministries that form the basis for launching digital transformation at the national level and providing full technical and material support for the implementation of those projects. An integrated executive program to automate the real estate newspaper at the level of all governorates according to a specific time schedule.

The committee decided to launch training programs in ministries at the level of program managers and cadres working in the field of electronic services, in addition to motivating workers in digital transformation projects. The committee must approve what contributes to the proper exit of these projects.

The Minister of Communications and Technology, Eng. Iyad Al-Khatib, and his assistant, Eng. Fadia Suleiman, gave a presentation on what has been achieved in the field of digital transformation and government e-services, the timelines for the strategy, criteria for selecting projects, improving the efficiency of government performance and the enabling environment for digital transformation to ensure access to effective and integrated digital government services that contribute to building More transparent institutions that achieve excellence in government performance and promote innovation and community participation.
