Concerns arose recently in the Rottach town council as to whether Bad Wiessee could implement the new bathing park as planned.

In the interview, Wiessee's Mayor Robert Kühn takes a position.

Bad Wiessee / Rottach-Egern

- Will Bad Wiessee be able to manage the “new bathing park” project on its own?

This question was recently discussed in the Rottach-Egern local council.

The idea arose to not only support the neighboring municipality with a deficit agreement in the operation of the new swimming pool, but also to participate financially in the construction.

The Mayor of Wiesse, Robert Kühn, comments on this in an interview with our newspaper.

Mr Kühn, what do you think of the doubts that arose in the Rottach municipal council about the new swimming pool building?

Robert Kühn:

It is your right and natural that local councils in other valley communities ask questions.

Citizens do that too, by the way.

I also tell you that, despite a small delay that we communicated, we are still d'accord with the overall planning period.

We have had the pollutant report drawn up and the result should be presented to us soon.

We are in constant contact with pool experts regarding the concept.

Real planning simply takes time.

After all, the success of a bathroom depends to a large extent on the offer.

Especially when a bathroom is designed on such a small area and not on a green field.

So you don't perceive the signal from Rottach-Egern as interference?

Robert Kühn:

I am pleased that the other councilors are still interested.

From the beginning it was our aim to provide comprehensive information.

After all, it should be a bath for the entire valley and beyond.

The deficit agreements with all valley communities are a sign of solidarity.

What do you think of the idea that Rottach-Egern might continue to be financially involved, but would then also want to participate in the decision-making process?

Robert Kühn: In

principle, a construction subsidy is detrimental to the funding situation.

If we were to talk about the establishment of a joint municipal company or association and bring our pools together there, Bad Wiessee - and I think I am speaking on behalf of the local council - would have nothing against it.

Apart from the fact that such a foundation would mean a time delay, I am glad that this signal comes from Rottach-Egern, which also has its own bathroom.

If you work together across the valley and if this valley idea takes hold when it comes to baths, then that is the supreme discipline.

So Bad Wiessee is open to discussions in this direction?

I am grateful for the idea from Rottach-Egern.

If a constructive, critical question turns into a target-oriented discussion and in the end something better for everyone, then with great pleasure.
