Breathe a sigh of relief after the doldrums: There's really something going on again in the inns in the district

The 3G rule still applies in most inns. But that does not prevent the shop from booming at many inns in the district.

The 3G rule still applies in most inns.

But that does not prevent the shop from booming at many inns in the district.

District - After two hard winters, there is something going on again in the inns in the district: "I really can't complain about day-to-day business, we're doing really well there," explains Martin Bayerlein, the boss at Grafinger Kastenwirt.

In between, he and his team come to the limit of their capacity.

“There is no wish to go upstairs,” he says, puffing contentedly into the phone.

In the Gasthof zum Altschütz in Vaterstetten, on the other hand, the number of guests "has not reached a normal level, especially in bad weather" compared to the time before the corona virus, says boss Christoph Hofherr.

While the tables are still well occupied at the weekend, there are fewer visitors during the week than before.

Steinberger's market view in Glonn: regular trouble with unvaccinated guests

“Around November is always a quieter time,” explains Hofherr.

But this autumn the landlord realizes that people first have to find their way back to normalcy: “A lot of people are simply no longer used to eating out so often,” he suspects.

Nevertheless, he is currently very satisfied with his business.

"With us everything is fine again - except for the Corona discussions," summarizes Markus Steinberger in Glonn.

With him, in “Steinberger's Market View”, there are regular quarrels with unvaccinated guests.

If they cannot or do not want to show evidence, they have to go.

"We control very strictly and don't want to listen to these discussions any more," says the landlord.

There is nothing to complain about about the number of guests: "This year is nothing different than before Corona," said Steinberger.

Kastenwirt in Grafing: Few company reservations for company celebrations

Also with regard to celebrating closed societies: “The Greens, the Anzinger Oldtimer Club or birthdays and funerals, we have one meeting after the other in here.” This is not least due to the new “Salettl” event hall, which was opened after the renovation just opened last month.

The reservations for celebrations at the Grafinger Kastenwirt, on the other hand, “could be a bit more,” says Bayerlein.

There are many private events and one or the other club has already booked for their Christmas party, but it looks bad with companies: "I've been in the industry long enough to feel that they are even more cautious", he says.

Bayerlein estimates that companies would probably need more lead time and secure corona regulations.

Gasthof zum Altschütz in Vaterstetten: "In the past there would never have been a Friday free for me"

Hofherr in Vaterstetten also sees it this way: “In the past there would have been no more Friday free for me, this year there are even more.” He also believes that this is due to the virus: “If everyone from a large company were in one place and then everyone would be absent due to illness, that would be fatal, ”he says.

That's why most people prefer to celebrate only in the individual departments and prefer to organize parties for ten than sixty, he estimates.

However, all three agree on one thing: Better not fully booked in winter than another lockdown.
