Four occupants of a car were injured in a collision with a train on the Harz narrow-gauge railway in Wernigerode on Thursday.
The 40-year-old driver of the car, his 36-year-old passenger and a boy aged eight and a four-year-old girl were taken to hospital with minor injuries, the police said.
Wernigerode - According to initial findings, the driver had overlooked the approaching train and collided with it.
The car then crashed into two traffic signs and finally crashed into a wooden fence.
While the car was damaged in the amount of around 6,000 euros, the train was able to continue its journey in the direction of Drei Annen Hohne after an hour.
