A collision of a car with a truck led to traffic obstructions on the federal highway 111 to and from the island of Usedom on Thursday.
As a police spokesman announced, an 80-year-old driver between Wolgast and Lühmannsdorf (Vorpommern-Greifswald) overlooked the right of way of an oncoming truck when turning left.
Wolgast - The truck driver was no longer able to brake in time.
The 80-year-old was injured in the collision of the vehicles and was taken to a clinic.
The main road was closed for around an hour because the two vehicles were recovered.
