Some city councils, on the other hand, would like an even higher occupancy rate.

Unterschleißheim

- Due to the constantly changing rules in the pandemic, the Unterschleißheim forum is waiting and planning its program on a quarterly basis in order to be able to react to any changes.

The culture committee discussed how quickly the road to normality and full halls should be taken in Unterschleißheim.

The season is currently running for September, October, November, and the hall in the community center is currently still very tight with 120 seats and 1.5 meters apart. From December onwards, they want to be more courageous and allow 200 to 250 visitors. A modified “3G +” concept will then be introduced from December to the end of February: people who have been vaccinated, who have recovered and who have been tested (with a negative PCR test) will have access. The spectators go to their place with a mask and are allowed to take off the mask. The distance between the chairs is no longer 1.5 meters, but a little closer. However, the spectators are not sitting as close as they were before the pandemic, when the entire capacity of the hall was used. "One or the other visitor will perhaps feel more comfortable with tight seating at a distance and without a mask",pleaded cultural office director Daniela Benker for a modified "3G +".

More viewers?

"People are afraid of the risk"

Here, Unterschleißheim is taking a different path than the Munich stores, which are currently selling their entire capacity with 3G and Mask.

“We could also return to the original audience capacity,” said Benker, “but we have come to the conclusion that it does not make any sense yet.

People still want the distance and are afraid of the risk. "

But when exclusive, very high-priced performances take place in front of 120 spectators, the question of the profitability of culture would immediately arise, explained Benker.

Theoretically, Unterschleißheim could introduce “3G +” with immediate effect and return to the original audience capacity, but in practice it would not be feasible to switch to “ad hoc” during ongoing operations.

The seating plans, which are deposited with München-Ticket until the end of November, cannot be changed.

One wants to gradually approach the full halls.

"Why do we have to be more papal than the Pope?"

Heidi Kurz (FB) and Manfred Riederle (FDP) would have liked to have gone a little further.

Finally, the community center can be seated with 600, 486 or 287 seats.

"Why do we have to be more papal than the Pope?" Asked Riederle, "we should let it be."

Caution was born out of experience, answered Irene Tutschka, event manager in the forum: “We would rather sell tickets than reverse ticket sales.” The culture committee decided against two votes on the modified “3G +” concept.

Viewers are slow to come back

Incidentally, the forum is currently conducting a survey of ticket buyers in the ticket shop to find out which regulations guests favor.

"80 percent of our customers are currently in favor of more distance," said Benker.

When selling tickets in the ticket shop, reluctance can be felt at the moment: "So far, as everywhere, the public has been a bit hesitant in their buying behavior," reported Daniela Benker.

Other organizers are also currently struggling with weaker demand.

The decision to attend the event is made rather spontaneously, so there is more attendance at the box office.

Overall, however, the audience is slowly coming back, Benker stated: “We are in good spirits.” One can look forward to the new design for the Forum Unterschleißheim, which is currently in progress. The cultural office has already announced it as a “milestone”. at.
