From October 15, Covid-19 detection tests, whether RT-PCR or antigenic, will no longer be reimbursed by Medicare in certain cases.
A decision also supposed to relieve the public accounts: "
the taxes, the contributions of the French do not have to finance tests used as a vaccine of substitution by people who made the choice not to be vaccinated
", judged the government spokesperson last Thursday.

In reality, the tests will continue to be covered for a major part of the population: minors, whether vaccinated or not, contact cases reported by Medicare, people vaccinated - i.e. three quarters of French - and unvaccinated people with a prescription from their doctor and showing symptoms.
