The wave continues to subside.
According to the latest data from the Directorate of Research, Studies, Evaluation and Statistics (DREES), attached to the Ministry of Health, the number of tests carried out each week continues to decline.
As of October 10, the seven-day average stood at 3.21 million tests.
A level equivalent to July 23, and down 44% compared to the peak observed in mid-August.

In total, more than 155 million tests have been administered since March 2020, and the 100 million RT-PCR test mark has just been crossed. In detail, nearly two-thirds of the tests validated last week were antigenic. Demand is falling for all age groups, more markedly for 16-75 year olds. Saliva tests, meanwhile, have been on the rise since September, driven by the "
back to school
", notes the Drees.
On the eve of the delisting, the demand for tests is therefore gradually returning to a pre-peak summer level.
The number of tests should continue to drop after Friday, in a proportion that is difficult to quantify: some players believe that demand will collapse by "

", while others are more cautious.
