The approximately 900 employees of Curevac AG and Curevac Real Estate GmbH in Tübingen elected a works council for the first time on Thursday.
According to information from the Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE), there were 29 candidates for election.
A works council with 13 members was elected.
Co-determination structures are not a matter of course in biotechnology companies, said an IG BCE spokeswoman.
Tübingen - The fact that, after Biontech, works council elections could now also be initiated at Curevac is an important sign.
