An unusual flea market will take place in the Starnberg Schwaige next Saturday, October 16.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Starnberg branch of the Bund Naturschutz (BN) wants to “put beautiful and practical things in good hands”.
Starnberg - The house at Finkenstrasse 14 belonged to a nature lover who was a member of the BN and the state association for bird protection. The BN now inherited part of the estate, namely the contents of the house (not the house itself). “The local group was totally surprised when we heard about it. We are, of course, anything but professionals when it comes to recycling household effects like this. But we want to make the best of it, ”says chairwoman Irmgard Franken. As she found out, it was important to the Starnberger to know that his things were in good hands.
That is why the local group came up with the idea of a flea market.
"Look, choose, pay, take away" is the motto.
The BN is happy if the interested parties acknowledge the value of the objects with an appropriate amount of money.
Pictures, books, furniture, lamps, photographic equipment, souvenirs, crockery, jugs, stamps for the first time belong to it, "normal" things, not luxury goods.
Due to the corona, only ten people can enter the house.
Cars would have to stay outside on the street, the last 20 meters to the house is only possible on foot.
For the transport of heavy things, the BN recommends a hand truck or strong porters.
