In the afternoon of the same day, the two met for a friendly match in a boxing gym in Taipa. A qualified coach was arranged to testify. Before the match, the two parties agreed to only wear braces, gloves and foot gloves, but no headgear.

The video of the game circulated online. In the film, it can be seen that the two fighters initially attacked and defended each other, constantly punching each other's faces.

There were onlookers on the sidelines watching and shooting with a camera.

In the meantime, the deceased gradually showed fatigue and continued to play. After a few minutes of the competition, the deceased fell on the ground with a punch in his left cheek.

Afterwards, the deceased suddenly fainted while resting under the ring, and the people present immediately called the police and sent the victim to the hospital for rescue.

Diagnosed by doctors from Earls General Hospital, the deceased was found to have hematoma and severe cerebral hemorrhage in his right brain. After undergoing brain surgery, he was transferred to the intensive care department for hospitalization.

After questioning, Yang Nan admitted that the two sides did not have enough personal protective equipment for the match, which eventually caused the deceased to be seriously injured.

According to the findings of the investigation, the police of Macau transferred Yang Nan to the procuratorate for serious injury to the integrity of the body.

The victim was confirmed dead at 4:50 pm yesterday (13th) after the rescue was invalid; the cause of death will be subject to forensic examination.

The incident caused heated discussions in many online discussion areas in Macau. Some netizens questioned why boxing matches are not allowed to wear headgear, whether private appointments are legal, the fairness of boxing certificates, and whether the boxing gym involved should be held responsible.
