A man in police clothing has robbed a gas station in Saarbrücken.
The masked man stole a four-digit amount of money in the robbery early Thursday morning, the police in Saarbrücken announced on Thursday.
He threatened two cashiers aged 53 and 64 with a pistol, which later turned out to be a soft-air weapon.
Saarbrücken - About half an hour after the crime, the fugitive was arrested on a garden plot not far from the crime scene.
According to initial investigations, the clothes worn by the 40-year-old suspect, a jacket and a woolen hat with the words "Police" on it, were stolen when a car was broken into in July.
