Damascus-SANA
Life experiences and events experienced by the artist, Nawar Shartouh, included in his first solo exhibition at Zawaya Gallery in Damascus today.
Nawar presented more than seventy portrait works that varied between large and small paintings, all of which reflected his penchant for experimentation and his passion for gray and its derivatives.
Nawar, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, specializing in printing and engraving, explains that the general idea of the participatory exhibition is between the depth within it and the reality. Therefore, his works were the product of life situations and experiences he lived, especially after his graduation. It consisted of 26 photographic works and 40 sketches of charcoal and acrylic.
