Abuja-Sana

Nigerian Army Chief of Staff General Lucky Irapur announced today the killing of the leader of the terrorist organization "ISIS" in West Africa.

"I assure you from my authority that the terrorist (Abu Musab al-Barnawi) was killed," Reuters quoted Irapur as saying, without giving further details.

It is noteworthy that the so-called ISIS in West Africa was originally a branch of the terrorist group Boko Haram, which has been fighting the Nigerian armed forces for 12 years before it split from it.
