Two years ago, Nordwestbahn was awarded the contract to continue operating the Bremen / Lower Saxony regional S-Bahn until 2036.

In addition to the modernization measures, the new transport contract, which will apply from 2022, also provides for trips every half hour from Bremen to Bremerhaven and Oldenburg.

The fleet is therefore to be increased to 51 vehicles.
