The remaining 34 trains are to follow from January 2023. The Nordwestbahn announced on Thursday that two trains should be converted within six weeks. "The converted vehicle offers a great foretaste of what our passengers can expect from 2023 on the entire regional S-Bahn network," said Robert Palm, Regional Manager of the Regional S-Bahn Bremen / Lower Saxony.
Bremerhaven - As early as the end of 2022, all trains will also be equipped with WiFi, announced a company spokesman.
In future, passengers will also receive real-time information about connecting trains on large screens.
The renovation work also includes a new video surveillance system, LED lighting, disinfectant dispensers and resistant coatings on handrails.
