In November the city of Nuremberg opens its new bratwurst museum.
To go with it - and in honor of the Nuremberg specialty - a “Bratwurstgasse” is to be built there soon.
Nuremberg - Nuremberg's economic advisor Dr.
Michael Fraas is “really happy today”.
Why?
Because the traffic committee of the city of Nuremberg * voted on Thursday (October 14) for a local "Bratwurstgasse".
In keeping with the new Bratwurst Museum, which will open its doors in November, the new street sign will soon be erected at the flea market behind the hangman's bridge.
Nuremberg bratwurst is honored with a new museum and its own street name
The idea of the new Bratwurstgasse came from the two

employees Yase and Mark - and it was not only the economic advisor Dr.
Michael Fraas happy.
"Anything that is good for the subject of bratwurst, to promote one of the most important specialties of our city and make it better known, I think that's good, I think that's right and important," he said in an earlier interview with Yase and Mark.
According to the radio station's website, he considers the idea of the two to be a “flash of inspiration”.
The idea of the Bratwurstgasse met with a lot of enthusiasm in Nuremberg
According to the
Energy
website in
the morning,
Nuremberg's Lord Mayor Marcus König also welcomed
the idea and had campaigned for it to be prepared and presented to the city council.
“That we didn't come up with it ourselves,” said Rainer Heimler, 1st chairman of the Nürnberger Bratwürste eV protection association, wondered.
Finally, the association opens the new museum * in November, where visitors can find out everything about the Nuremberg sausage.
In addition, according to Heimler, there is already a “Schäufeleinstrasse for the Schäufele” in Nuremberg and then a “Bratwurstgässla for the Bratwurst” is needed.
Will there soon be a gingerbread avenue in Nuremberg after Schäufeleinstrasse, Bierweg and the new Bratwurstgasse?
There has also been a “beer trail” in Nuremberg for a long time.
And since the Nuremberg bratwursts * are one of the city's culinary landmarks and, just like the Nuremberg gingerbread, must not be missing from the world-famous Nuremberg Christmas market, it is only natural that the Franconian sausage specialty is now given its own street name.
It remains to be seen whether there will be a gingerbread avenue or something similar in Nuremberg at some point.
