Last year, 320 people who had flight, war and torture experiences were cared for, explained project manager Magdalene Schlenker.
The people came from over 30 different countries, mostly from Afghanistan, Syria and Chechnya.

There are still very few mentally distressed and ill refugees who are accommodated in standard care, where long waiting times also apply, ”the project manager continued.
Uncertain prospects to stay, everyday racism, stressful housing situations and a lack of employment made the chances of recovery more difficult.
The organizers are striving for funding beyond project funds.
For example, since 2020 there has been a possibility of regular billing of services via the Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians to a very limited extent.
